Journalists have been among the most targeted groups since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, with dozens killed along with their families, and others injured or arrested.

After the confirmation of the Israeli occupation army's involvement in the assassination of the Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, the trial of "Israel" and its leaders responsible for her killing has become an urgent international necessity.

Shireen Abu Akleh was assassinated on Wednesday morning, May 11, 2022, while covering the storming of the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank, becoming the news and making Arab and international headlines.

The Israeli occupation continues tirelessly to abuse Palestinian journalists and kill them in cold blood, to prevent the exposure of its criminal practices, violating the Geneva Convention of 1949 for the protection of civilians in military conflicts.

Shireen Abu Akleh, Al-Jazeera correspondent, is not the first journalist to be killed by the Israeli occupation forces. Assassination, injury, and arrest are weapons used by the occupation to cover up its crimes against the Palestinians, especially journalists.
